Latest News: CWL are delighted to confirm that the Minister granted permission on 14th March 2024, subject to conditions, reasons and Informative Clauses, for the proposals contained in Application No. 1849/12/2020D which is for the installation of a 40MW solar photovoltaic and agricultural facility at Carrington & Woodbourne Plantations, St. Philip (Brereton Solar Farm).
A Public Meeting was held on Wednesday 23rd November 2022 at the Princess Margaret School, St. Philip.

The planning application for Brereton Solar Farm was submitted in June 2022 to the Chief Town Planner and has the following TCDPO application number: 1849/12/2020D.

In August 2022, the Planning and Development Department requested additional information on the battery energy storage system, so a revised ESIA and a revised Non-Technical Summary were submitted in September 2022. These documents can be found below:

The Planning and Development Department have also advised that a Public Meeting can be held with the documents available for viewing at least 28 days prior to the event.
